I always knew this was true. Over on boing boing, Cory tells us about a journal article that confirms what we’ve always known, swearing mitigates pain.

This cool video is from over on boing boing and is a 2 minute sample of a 15 minute video that contains the scene where Captain Kirk winds up to, and then screams out Khaan!.
Quite the trip.
For those that haven’t heard, Microsoft anounced it’s new search engine, bing.

Some of those links might be a little slow at the moment, but I’d give it some time. Working at ninemsn, I had the opportunity to get a sneak peak at the search engine and I must say I was impressed. For those eager clickers, be advised the home page link is still showing a ‘coming soon’ for us Aussies atm.
The first thought that sprang to my mind when I heard the new name was, “I wonder if searching a term will now be called getting bing-age“. Gamers in the aurdience will recall the term getting bink-age from the counter-strike days, which describes the sound made when you score (or receive) a head shot while wearing a helmet in counter-strike (a near fatal shot).
Let’s hope that bing-age earns it’s place in the search world (in terms of search accuracy/relevance) the same way bink-age applies in the gaming world.
Disclaimer: I work for ninemsn.
Some absolute vox-pop gold off the back of a 9Raw article over at ninemsn.
As seen on boing boing. Awesome video of a single point in time during a shootout between cops and clowns.
Over on boing boing, this post about an awesome invention that enables you to boil water in a cardboard box.
So this invention takes a cardboard box, paints the interior black, throws in some foil and acrylic and then harnesses the sun’s energy to create a cardboard oven.
So I gave the slightly-too-small “I’m a PC Shirt” a try last night and got some photographic evidence.
Looks like I was right, an XL just won’t cut it, I needed a version in BH.

I'm a PC, but looks like a muscle-top.
So I got my “I’m a PC Shirt” in the mail today.

I'm a PC Shirt
Not sure if the shirt will be large enough for me to wear (I’m bloody huge, did you know?), but I’ll give it a shot this Friday and post a photo of the result.
In the mean time, we were looking for things to do with the stickers, and decided that this photo of a confused mac was a whole lot more humurous than it was in real life:

Confused Mac
Over on boing boing, this video was highlighted, as the first in a miniseries, the first two epsiodes of which cost just $500 to make. The cool thing about this is it’s being made using the Half Life 2 engine.
